Last film I saw... posted at 07:06
Made in Dagenham is a british film set in 1968. It's a fun inspiring film about women getting equal pay, the huge hair bright prints and eyeliner flicks make you wish you were living in a different era. The fiery passion of the women is emotional and inspiring and the film is worth watching

Amy Winehouse- 'my biggest fear is dying with no one knowing of any contribution I made to creating music, so if I died tomorrow, touch wood, I would be fulfilled. posted at 16:27
Regardless of her personal life it can't be denied that Amy Winehouse was (It still feels strange to say 'was') a hugely talented singer who's music was innovative and modernized Jazz possibly even leading to a whole new genre . She hit the scene in 2003 with her debut album 'Frank' and has not been out of the press since, the public has been kept up to date with her antics, drug abuse and of course, her infamous and supposedly influential hubby Blake. but despite the drama that surrounded Amy she produced a second album and remained hugely popular, ok so she wasn't quite the nations sweetheart and she certainly was no Cheryl Cole, however Whinehouse was original, unique and her style was inspirational. From her 60's inspired 'hive' to her to her 1950's rockabilly look she was a breath of fresh air to the fashion conscience tabloid readers. Although it might seem tenuous I would say despite her disheveled half kick-ass half venerable look Winehouse can still be considered a style icon and will continue to inspire after her death. When someone so young dies it is a tragedy but Winehouse's death was also a huge loss to the music industry, she still had so much to offer the world and my heart goes out to her family and all her fans.

Amy performing at Glastonbury in 2008. I was in the crowd and it was sad to see the headline act of one of the biggest festivals in the world end up punching a crowd member, lying down on the stage, slurring and declaring her love for Blake, who, ironically, was in jail at the time. Despite this I will not forget her first song 'Valerie' which she sang beautifully
